Everything RLC
This is a WordPress theme that I designed and coded for a church youth group. The client wanted it to be clean and simple, but not without character. After visiting the group to get a feel for its tone, I decided to keep the color palette simple and add a subtle roughness. The youth group is no longer active so the site was taken offline.

My Portfolio Process
I started this site by searching the web for inspiration. Once my head was spinning with ideas I began by sketching potential logos. I quickly got as many ideas as I could on the page. Sketching is a great way for me to work out my ideas.

Eventually I picked something I liked and used it to inspire the rest of my site design.
Starting with a 960px wide grid I created some wireframes to get a general idea of how my site was going to be laid out.

I then created a mockup to get a general idea of how I wanted the colors and hierarchy to interact with each other. I was eager to begin working in html5 and css3, so I began coding my site.

I added jQuery and css sprites to make the site feel more dynamic. I also Implemented adapt.js to make the site responsive. After many critiques, usability tests with classmates and tweaks here and there, the site became what it is now.

Nate Trygg
I made this WordPress theme for a motion graphics student so that he could show off his work to potential employers. He gave me a pdf of the design that he wanted and I converted it into a wordpress theme.

Juut Salonspa
I took a .psd file and turned it into an interactive, fading jquery slideshow that updates a text description box. Once the slideshow is interacted with it will stop fading between slides.

Starting from a plugin, I customized a mega drop down menu to meet the needs of the site.
